Rota mi means my root in Jämtska, a Swedish regional dialect from Jämtland.
It is in the beginning that we have found the power of our story. It is about power, gender, identity and norms. But it is also a declaration of love for the place that became ours.
It’s about telling the untold story of women from the countryside.
It is about recapturing an imagery that has fallen into oblivion.
It is about how to take back power over yourself, despite the shortcomings you have.
It’s about finding yourself and finding home.
